Garlic bread and melted cheeses — that really is the best of both worlds! Try this recipe next time you make a nice steak or have pasta and sauce.

1 loaf French bread
1/2 cup butter
1 cup shredded jack cheese
1 cup shredded asiago cheese
1 cup mayonnaise
1 bunch green onions, chopped
2 cloves garlic, pureed
Split French bread loaf into halves horizontally. Mix butter, cheeses, mayonnaise, green onions and garlic in a bowl, blending well. Spread the cut side of bread with spread. Bake at 350 degrees F for 7 minutes, then place under broiler about 3 minutes longer. Cut into slices and serve.

Noooooo! I can’t stand mayo and am disappointed it’s in this recipe! What a bummer.
Good enough to make you toss the steak in a doggie bag and just eat the bread!
The picture is enough to make me jump. Thanks for the recipe. Sounds easy too so i will surely make it.
I’ve never heard of mayo on Garlic Bread before! Interesting…and the green onions so delicious! I can’t wait to try out this recipe for my family!
This was pretty tasty, but I found that it was enough to easily coat two loaves of french bread. Using the entire spread on one loaf is extreme overkill.
Fantastic! Hubby and I have been known to have this and a bottle or white wine for dinner! Yummers!
