This semi-sweet slaw goes well with fried chicken, fish, or even sandwiches.

6 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3/4 cup chopped onions
2 1/2 cups Miracle Whip
1 cup sugar
2 carrots, finely chopped
2 heads cabbage, finely chopped
1. In bowl, combine oil, onions and sugar; add tarragon vinegar; fold in mayonnaise.
2. In large bowl, combine carrots and cabbage, mix well.
3. Pour dressing over cabbage mix; stir well to combine.
4. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

KFC serves the best coleslaw, in my opinion. It’s the perfect time to present this recipe, so we can all enjoy it over the summer! Thanks.
I love this cole slaw and have been trying to make it taste like KFC’S but never could. Thank Thank you love it best there is anywhere.

Just a small note of interest:
The difference between Miracle Whip & mayonaise is 2 tablespoons of sugar per quart added to your brand of mayo.
It has been a long time since I had it, but I could have sworn the KFC coleslaw had crushed pineapple in it, which was why I loved it so much.
What kind of vegetable oil is needed ?
Peanut, sesame, rapeseed, avocado and olive oil are all vegetable oils, but very different in taste.
Even olive oil taste different.
I haven’t tried this recipe yet, but the dressing in an original KFC cole slaw is liquid like buttermilk, but this seem not to be.
as a former mgr at kfc the above recipe is right on as far as i can tell. we used a recipe by weight. the best oil to use is soybean(no competing flavors).also terragon vinegar is key to the whole thing. also never was any pineapple enjoy
Why is it that US & Canada both have different coleslaw’s? Have you ever tried the one in Canada? It IS to die for!!!!!!!! It’s a fake lime green color and is sweet. Does anyone have the recipe for it?
