Copycat Snapple Lemon Iced Tea

Who doesn’t love a nice cold bottle of Snapple on a hot day? Maybe it is the “Best Stuff on Earth”, but that doesn’t mean you can’t make it better (and cheaper) at home. And if you prefer diet, just replace the sugar with 12 packets of artificial sweetener.

  3. Personally, I would use 8 teabags. The sugar and lemon juice are in better proportion to that. For an added treat squeeze a lemon for part of the juice and then put the lemon sections into the tea to macerate. Later, when you drink the tea, chew on the deliciously sweetened lemon sections as well. This is an old family recipe that will outdo Snapple any day.

  4. I made this ‘as is’..and it was delicious! No need to add 8 tea bags as one reviewer mentioned- 2 is plenty and it tasted EXACTLY like the bottled iced-tea drinks you pick up in the store. I loved it!

  6. Great recipe. I usually substitute a 1/4 cup brown sugar added to a 1/2 cup regular sugar. It gives it a little something special.
    =)
