QUICK CHOCOLATE MOUSSE
SERVES 12
1/3 c. corn syrup
2 c. heavy cream
1 env. unflavored gelatin
¼ c. water
1 pkg. (6 oz.) semisweet chips
1 t. vanilla
¼ t. salt
Beat heavy cream to soft peaks. In saucepan, sprinkle gelatin over water; let stand 1 minute. Add corn syrup. Stir over low heat until completely dissolved, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in chocolate, vanilla and salt. Gently fold chocolate mixture into whipped cream. Spoon into individual serving glasses.
