On cleaning the crock pot - take one of the Cascade 2 n 1 action pacs (the little balls with dishwashing liquid and Dawn mixed together) and put it in a crock pot filled with water (I used very hot but warm would probably do as well) and let it sit about 15 minutes - no scrubbing required, just wash and rinse. Works magic on that stuck on food that always seems to accumulate as you cook in the crock pot. I will never clean mine any other way...
