Also - having snacks (healthy ones, of course!) also keeps your metabolism going! If your body knows it is going to receive a piece of fresh fruit every afternoon between lunch and dinner and another at night before bed, it's not afraid to use up what you have in "reserve" making your metabolism work better and longer.
