Thumbs up using salt to preserve...

Use salt to preserve your fresh herbs or hot peppers!

Put a layer of salt ( I use sea or kosher ) in the bottom of a container add a layer of herbs or peppers. Continue to add salt layers and herb or pepper until container is filled.

This works great for basil ( which is hard to dry by anyother method ) .

The salt can be used as seasoning once all the herb or pepper has been used.
