Our familiy has always made what we called the "poorman's pizza" for generations using ground meat and sloppy joe sauce (we have several variations of the sauce we use). We always use homemade bread or pizza dough - whatever we had leftover from the breads we were making. Sometimes we would use the cheese and most times we didn't. But reading your recipe brought back so many wonderful memories - thank you!!
