Jell-O Magic Mousse
This creamy mousse take just 10 minutes to assemble. No need to wait for gelatin to thicken or layers to set, simply mix and refrigerate.
3 cups boiling water
1 pkg. (8-serving size) Jell-O Brand Strawberry Flavor Gelatin
1 tub
(16-oz.) Cool Whip Whipped Topping, thawed
Stir boiling water into dry gelatin mix in a medium bowl at least 2 minutes, until completely dissolved. Add whipped topping to hot gelatin, stir with wire whisk until whipped topping is completely melted and mixture is well blended, (mixture will still be thin.)
Pour into 10 glasses or a 6 cup mold or a glass bowl sprayed with cooking spray.
Refrigerate overnight. If using large mold, unmold just before serving on a serving plate.
Makes 10 servings.
Shortcut: If the topping is still frozen, no need to worry. Just follow the recipe as directed, substituting the still-frozen whipped topping for the thawed whipped topping. Just be sure to stir the gelatin mixture until the whipped topping is completely melted as directed before pouring into the prepared mold.
