You hit the nail on the head. Starvation is the worst thing a person can do. I believe in small meals throughout the day. It keeps my body moving in all respects (physically and metabolically). Eating to the full level is so uncomfortable for me...it slows me down.
My husband was on the Atkins diet a few years ago and he lost a lot of weight. In my opinion, too much. Long story short, when he stop the diet and returned to a fairly regular/normal diet, he gained the lost weight back and about 25 more pounds.
