Re: Anchovy recipes
This one is from the Philippines, called "Dilis" or spicy anchovy crisps. Best with beer and good friends, LOL.
Ingredients:
1 egg
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons salt
4-5 pieces siling labuyo, chopped (small chili peppers)
1/2 cup cornstarch
1/4 kilo dilis (anchovy)
oil for deep-frying
Instructions
1. In a bowl, beat egg until fluffy then add sugar, salt and siling labuyo.
2. Blend in cornstarch and beat until smooth.
3. Pour mixture over dilis and stir until completely coated.
4. Deep fry until crisp and golden brown.
