I don't use a dressing for sausage sandwiches. I caramelize the onion and green peppers in the same pan as i browned the sausage. Then I add water to the pan, add the sausage, peppers and onions and simmer until the sausage is done. The resulting juice with some salt and pepper is what I dip the sandwich in.
