Spices for Cooking

Being new to cooking, is there a book out there which tells you what spices you should use when preparing meats/poultry/fish or making soulps, salads etc. I have looked all over bookstores and found nothing

Hi Billybob -

You really don't need a book. As you begint to read various recipes you will see the many ways spices and herbs are used.

you will see a complete list and description of them, as well as combinations and mixtures - my spice and herb dictionary.

I have a group for Meats, Fish and Poultry, etc. with different marinades, brines and recipes also an that site as well as groups for just about anything.
