Default Looking for...Mexican Wedding Cake

I am looking for a recipe for a cookie, I know it as a "Mexican Wedding Cake". Does anyone know of a good recipe for that?

1 c. butter
1/2 c. powdered sugar
2 t. vanilla
2 t. water
2 c. flour
1 c. finely-chopped pecans
Powder sugar for coating

Preheat oven to 325 for 10 minutes. Cream butter and 1/2 c. powdered sugar, add vanilla and water. Mix in flour and beat until blended. Stir in nuts; shape into small balls. Bake 20 minutes on ungreased baking sheet (do not allow to brown). Cool slightly on wire rack, roll in powdered sugar.

I lived in Pittsburgh, PA with a lot of ethnic cookies at weddings & holidays. This recipe is also called "Italian Wedding Cookies". The grannies used other nuts depending on region they were from & availability: walnuts, almonds or hazelnuts. Extracts were switched out: almond, lemon or orange.

There are so many different versions of the Italian Wedding Cookies - I think I have well over 100 recipes for them - and they are all different.
