Question Soy Flour

Can Soy Flour be used in place of white flour or cake flour? Can I use it to bake as well as fry?

All the recipes I've seen you can replace soy flour for a 1/3 of the regular flour, but I don't know about cake flour which is a whole different texture.

soy flour is usually added to wheat flour to help it rise - I wouldn't substitute it for cake flour - there are cake recipes using soy flour in addition to regular flour
