half&half

Hi guys
I'm new and not from USA so forgive me if my question sounds silly

I've found great recipe for marzipan strawberry cake and I need half&half to make the butter cream. The problem is that we don't have it in my country (I'm not even sure if I know what is it...I gues it's something like cream mixed with milk)
Do you know how can make it at home? Or do you know some substitute?
I'll be very gratefull for your help - I wanted to bake this amazing cake for my parents anniversary

You can make your own half and half. I am American, but I live in Thailand and cannot get it here. I have used this recipe and it works perfectly.

1 cup half and half = 1 cup less 2 tablespoons milk plus 1 1/2 tablespoons melted butter

This gives you the right amount of fat.

also - any recipe calling for light cream - use half-and-half
