O'Charley's Yeast Rolls
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Does anyone have the recipe for O'Charley's Yeast Rolls, They are the best, and I know you can buy them there to bring home and cook, but my kicthen is closer, so if anyone has anything close to this, please let me know. I know I taste honey in them, but the yeast roll receipe I have that includes honey just does not taste the same. Thanks

Re: O'Charley's Yeast Rolls

I did a bit of research on the net and found this.
O'Charley's Yeast Rolls
Mix:
½ Cup Crisco oil
½ cup boiling water
1 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup sugar
Mix:
½ cup lukewarm water
1 package dry yeast
Dissolve, then pour into oil mixture above.
Add one large beaten egg and mix.
Add:
3 cups all-purpose flour and form into a ball
Lightly Flour this ball and put into a bowl.
Let the "flour-ball" Rise for 2 hours. Shake the bowl so the ball drops down in size somewhat, Then pinch off 3 pieces for each roll, Then Roll into little balls. Place the 3 balls in a well-greased muffin pan. (Each muffin has 3 balls of flour) Let rise 2 hours. Bake at 400 for 10-15 minutes yield: 1½ dozen!
I hope it helps.
I moved this post - it was in the wrong thread. KW
