Default Re: Looking for a recipes from the Second cup restaurant

This is not from the second cup restaurant - but it may be close:

CAKE:

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup pure maple syrup
4 eggs
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ground allspice
3 cups chopped peeled Granny Smith apples
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

GLAZE:

1/2 cup powdered sugar
3 Tbsp. pure maple syrup
1 Tbsp. butter, softened

GARNISH:

1 Tbsp. chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350*F.
Grease and flour 12 cup Bundt pan. In a large bowl beat sugar, brown sugar and butter until smooth. Beat in syrup and eggs until blended.

Beat in flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg and allspice until combined. Stir in apples and walnuts. Spread batter evenly in pan.

Bake for 55 to 65 minutes until wooden pick comes out clean. Cool 15 minutes, remove from pan. Cool completely about 1 hour.

In a small bowl mix glaze ingredients until smooth. Spoon over top of cake. Sprinkle with walnuts

Serves 16

Enjoy
