Ketchup, catsup, WHY?

When a recipe calls for one of the above mentioned items, why be bland?

You can substitute tomato paste, tomatoe sauce, barbecue sauce, housin suace for more intense flavour, be it tomato or mustard, or soy flavour...

Tomato paste and tomato sauce give you a more intense tomato flavor, while housin just gives you that oriental flavor ketsup can not provide.
Barbeque sauce and mustard sauces just add more zing.

Don't be afraid to experiment with flavor and texture!
