Cake Tips

Tired of coating pans with flour and shortening? Here are two special ways to coat cake pans.

WHITE CAKES: Brush melted butter over the bottom and sides of pan. Coat with one Tbsp. of sugar and shake out excess. It gives the cake a crunchy sugar coating and a pretty look if you are not frosting the sides of the cake.

CHOCOLATE CAKES: Grease the pan with shortening, but dust it with unsweetened cocoa powder instead of flour.
