Thumbs up "Ten-Minute Rule" for cooking fish properly

To cook fish properly, follow the "Ten-Minute Rule." Measure the fish fillet or steak at its thickest part and allow ten minutes of cooking time per inch of thickness. If the fish measures less than 1 inch thick, shorten the cooking time slightly. To calculate the right amount of fish for serving, it is 1/3 to 1/2 pound per person, for fillets or steaks.

Default Re: "Ten-Minute Rule" for cooking fish properly

As an East Indian our main dishes are variety of rices and fishes.

But it will not match with your cooking procedure. First we descale the fishes and then marinate with turmeric and salt for five mins. After that we deep fry the marinated fish with mustard oil in low flame for another 5 mins.

You can have it in fried condition with rice or prepare curry and it is delicious.
