Melt in your mouth Crock Pot Roast
This crock pot roast is so tender, you don't need a knife.
2 - 3 LBS. chuck, arm or any roast
1 can/bottle of beer*
1 Pkg. Lipton Herb & Garlic soup mix or any flavor that sounds good, but the herb flavors have a more unique flavor.
Place roast in bottom of crock pot, sprinkle soup mix and pour Room Temp beer over. Cover and cook on low 8+ hours.
Serve with gravy, thicken if you like. Makes excellant sandwiches the next day.
* The taste and alcohol cooks out.

Re: Melt in your mouth Crock Pot Roast
Gholly,
Made this for Sunday's dinner and it was very, very good. I have leftovers and will make some awesome open-faced sandwiches for Wednesday's dinner.
Thanks, Paula

Re: Melt in your mouth Crock Pot Roast
I haven't tried the Lipton Herb & Garlic soup mix, always used oinon soup mix, but this sounds better. Will try soon, thanks.
