Slow Cooker Sweet ans Savory Brisket of Beef
This is good to serve any time of the year. I usually serve this with seasoned cut canned green bean's and steamed rice or mashed potatoes and serve the sliced brisket over steamed rice or side dishes of your choice!!!!!!!!
3-1/2 to 4 lbs. fresh brisket roast, trimmed of fat
1 pkg. (7-oz.) mixed dried fruit
2 cans (14-oz. each) beef broth
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
5 to 6 Tbsp. Gold Medal Wonda quick-mixing flour
Place all ingredients except flour in 3-1/3 to 4 quart slow cooker, cutting beef to fit if necessary.
Cover and cook on Low for 9 to 10 hours.
Remove beef to warm platter, cover with foil. Increase the slow cooker to High. Beat flour into hot liquid, using a wire whisk. Cover and cook 5 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until mixture is thickened. Cut beef into 8 portions. Serve with sauce
