This has me stumped - if it was soft before you froze it - once thawed it should be soft again. You can try to chip away at it and possbile pulse it in the food processor and add sour cream, mayo and some seasonings and possilbe other ingredients and make a dip or spread for crackers.

I thought I should be able to cut it since it was as soft as Gallo Salami ever is but it is not happening with this.
That is why I was looking for some kind of recipe as I really hate to throw it away.
Thanks for your information.
Colleen.

If it was a salami you could cut before it was frozen you should be able to cut it after it thaws. I freeze salami all the time - never had that happen.

Someone sent me several sticks of dry salami from CA. I put it in the freezer so it would not spoil and now it is so hard I can't even cut it.
Does anyone have a recipe they can suggest so I can use it?
Thank you,
Colleen
