Molasses Peanut Butter Cookies

MOLASSES PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup molasses
1 egg ,beaten
1/2 cup sugar
2 Tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon vanilla

Method:
Cream shortening and peanut butter together.Add sugar gradually .Blend in the molasses,egg, milk and vanilla.
Sift dry ingredients and add gradually to wet mixture.
Drop onto a greased cookie sheet, press with a fork. Bake at 375 degrees for about 10 minutes. DO NOT OVER BAKE.
Cookies have a tendency to continue baking while cooling.
