Cream Cheese Sopapillas
This is a super easy treat to make. I make these for my co-workers and always have request for the recipe.
2 cans cresent rolls
2 pkgs. cream cheese, softened
1 C. sugar
1/2 C. butter
cinnamon and sugar
Lightly grease a 9x13 baking dish. Line the bottom of baking dish with one can of cresent rolls, making sure to press the seams together. Cream together the softened cream cheese and sugar. You may add more sugar if you want your filling more sweet. Spread cream cheese mixture over cresent roll dough. Place the other can of cresent rolls on top, making sure to press seams together. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar over top. Melt butter and pour over the top. Bake at 350 degrees until cresent rolls are golden. Cool completely and cut into squares. My most prized heirloom is my great-grandmother's iron skillet.
