Rice and milk Mexican Dessert (arroz con leche)
This is a typical mexican dessert you can't miss, it's great for big parties and tastes delicious, you can eat it warm or cold, I prefer cold though.
Ingredients:
1 lt of milk
100 gms of white rice
1 cinnammon stick
Sugar to taste
1 Small can condensed milk
2 tablespoons vanilla
Instructions:
Place a large cooking pot on high heat, then add the milk and the cinnammon and when it starts to boil add the rice and the sugar, lower the heat, stir a little and let it cook for a little while. Once made let cool then add the condensed milk and the vanilla, place on individual recipients and put in the freezer, before you serve you can add a bit of powdered cinnammon on top to add a little color.
Buen Provecho!
Tips: Boy do I have a lot of tips for this one
You can add the juice of a lemon to give it an extra distinctive flavour
You can add chopped nuts and raisins.
And to make the taste more delicate you can replace the vanilla extract with vanilla vines and also decorate it with them.
