Deviled Eggs with Variations
6 hard cooked eggs
2 tablespoons sour cream
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
Peel eggs, then cut in half and remove yolks. Set whites aside. In medium sized bowl, mash yolks. Add sour cream and mayonnaise. Then blend in one of the following seasonings:
1 tablespoon salt-free garlic and herb seasoning
1 1/2 tablespoons dry cream of spinach soup and dip mix
1 1/2 tablespoons Mrs. Dash Extra Spicy Seasoning
1 1/2 tablespoons dry ranch dressing mix
1 1/2 tablespoons dry dill dip mix
1 1/2 tablespoons taco seasoning
Taste the mixture, then season with salt and pepper, if needed. Fill whites with the mixture you have created. Garnish the halves with chopped fresh Italian parsley or chives, or a sprinkle of paprika. A sprinkle of nutmeg tastes great on the spinach soup mix eggs.
