Carrabba's Mussels in White Wine Sauce by Johnny Carrabba
2 ounce. olive oil
1 pound cleaned Canadian mussels (available in gourmet
stores, says Johnny
1/4 chopped yellow onion
6 chopped cloves garlic
1 oz Pernod liquor
8 chopped basil leaves
6 oz lemon butter sauce
Juice of 1 lemon
Heat oil in saute pan.
Add mussels, cover and cook until shells begin to open about 2 minutes.
Add onions and garlic and toss ingredients together.
Cover pan again and cook for 1 minute. Add remaining ingredients and reduce
for 2 minutes uncovered.
Place in bowl and serve.
