Glazed Nuts for Christmas (or any time)

Makes one pound of nuts!

1 egg white
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1 pound of walnuts, pecans, or cashews (unsalted)

Combine all ingredients. Mix well. Spread on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 250 degrees for one hour. Cool; store in airtight container.

YUM! I make these for gifts and put into jelly jars with ribbon and card and hand out at the office. YUM

Henry’s Sugared Pecans

2 c pecan (halves) 1 c sugar
½ c water
1 tsp. vanilla ¼ tsp. cinnamon

Boil water and sugar until a thin syrup forms. Add vanilla and cinnamon. Mix pecans into syrup and pour on greased surface (separate while warm).
