BANANA-NUT SANDWICH COOKIES
ONE DOZEN
1 pkg. (7 to 8.1 oz.) banana-nut muffin mix
¾ c. flour
¼ c. brown sugar
½ c. butter or margarine, melted, cooled
1 - 2 T. milk (optional)

1 ½ c. sifted confectioners? sugar
½ c. butter or margarine
1 t. vanilla
½ c. white baking pieces or semisweet morsels
2 t. shortening
Combine muffin mix, flour and brown sugar. Add butter all at once. Using fork, stir to form soft dough using enough milk to form dough. Pat out to 1/8 to ¼-inch thick. Cut out. Place 2-inches apart on sprayed sheets. Bake 350* F. for 9 to 10 minutes or until cookies begin to brown. Cool on racks.
In medium bowl, beat sugar, butter and vanilla until creamy. Spread scant T. on bottom of cookie. Press second cookie on top. Melt chocolate and pipe on cookies.
