Re: kfc original recipe fried chicken
I had some KFC 3 weeks ago - and the recipes have changed for the original, the crispy and also the coleslaw.
Not as good - in my opinion.

Re: kfc original recipe fried chicken
When they changed the grease the flavor changed and I don't like it like I use to. What I make at home is better then KFC is now. I wish they would convert back to the grease that they were using.

Re: kfc original recipe fried chicken
debi - Welcome! and I know what you're saying! Ditto with McDonald's fries. They used to be so good! But leave it up to our government to tell us what we can and cannot eat. As far as I'm concerned - what we eat is our business - not the governments. Thanks to them - even potato chips don't taste the same.
Wait - 20 years from now they will reverse their decision on transfats, etc.

Re: kfc original recipe fried chicken
I have just sent for the book, and look forward to trying the recipes. I too agree that the taste is no longer the same at KFC. Is there a recipe for their gravy as well? Love that gravy!!!

Re: kfc original recipe fried chicken
aaahhh.... the oil. Tallow versus Veggie oil. that would change the taste also. Ditto on the fries. McD's was the best, now just "Good".

Re: kfc original recipe fried chicken
KFC fried chicken has a different taste in each restaurant for sure. In the KFC,s where I live each has a differenr flavor. In Bangkok it is also unique, also in Cebu, Phlilippines, which is the tastiest. Probably the management is varying slightly from the recipe.

Re: kfc original recipe fried chicken
Here we go with the "frankenchicken" hoopla! The big rumors of cloned chickens that are born with no heads or feet or feathers - made just for KFC...................................

Re: kfc original recipe fried chicken
Post a recipe just like you made this post! Go to the thread you want your recipe to show up - Recipe Exchange, Crockpot, Desserts, etc. and post your recipe.
Holler if you need any help - but this post came through just fine so you should be okay.
