B-Man's Beef Stew for the Crockpot

Since it decided to be winter in May I tried B-Man's Beef Stew that was posted in the recipe exchange a couple of month's ago. We really enjoyed it although my hubby decided it needed some tomatoes ( he thinks everything is better with tomatoes) so he added a 15 oz. can of tomatoes. Thanks B_Man for warming us up so deliciously on this unseasonally cold night. I know when it was posted several of you were going to try it, what did you think and did you make any changes?
