In case the person who said she's having porcupine meatballs doesn't see your query, they are meatballs with rice in them cooked in a tomato sauce. Ideally, some of the rice will stick out of the meatballs and resemble porcupine quills.

Default WHATS FOR DINNER

I MAKE MY PORCUPINE MEATBALLS IN A BROWN GRAVY WITH MUSHROOMS. IT'S REALLY GOOD. I LIKE IT BETTER THAN THE TOMATO SAUCE.

How funny! I am having the exact same thing. I am serving them with angel hair pasta and a green salad with ceasar dressing. Dessert will be angel food cake with strawberries.
