Lightbulb the continuing saga of McDonald's and KW......

My "favorite" fast food place, McDonald's (well - you all know how I feel about that place and what I have been through there!) has a new wrap type gizmo made with a breaded chicken tender, lettuce and a drizzle of sauce you can't taste and wrapped in a flour tortilla. Yeah - curiosity got me and I had to go to the drive thru and order one.

Surprisingly - other than the fact that you could not taste whatever they were supposed to drizzle on it - (isn't it always something with them - I feel like Joe Pesci in Lethal Weapon going thru the drive thru!!) it wasn't bad. Maybe it's because I only ordered one and it was $1.29 - they wanted a bigger sale or something - who knows. Maybe they have my picture hanging in all the McDonald's - you know the pic - in a circle with the line going through it! Cripe - I was never at this McDonald's before!!

So I went grocery shopping and I bought fresh chicken breasts for dinner tomorrow and I will make tenders out of 2 of them, bread them and wrap them in flour tortillas with shredded lettuce and mayo peppered with some red hot peppers (minced) or a drizzle of salsa con queso. It would have been nice to taste the "drizzle" so I could see what it was. But they would be nice for lunch.

And for those that may be interested - they sent me a survey and a bunch of "fluff". I had a ball with that one. Told them everything and then told them to put a copy on the CEO' s desk. Haven't heard a word from them since! It's been 2 months now - I won't hold my breath waiting either. But it wasn't nice - and it was the truth!! Pooh-head's - never acknowledged receipt of it! Chickens.....................

Scorp2 - it's just an on-going thing with Mc D and I! There are other posts right here in this thread - it's just never-ending! I thought they poisoned me a while back and swore I would never go back - but those wrap commercials have a subliminal message - "Kitchen Witch - buy me, Kitchen Witch - taste me" - over and over and over.....................

there should be a law about subliminal messages in commercials!!!!!!!!

Remember when they did that years ago at a theater with popcorn ads during the movie and they increased the sales of their popcorn considerably! Well that is what McD's did - they are out to get me one way or another!!!

KW,
Me thinks thou doth protest too much. I think you have secretly got the "hots" for Ronald McDonald and are just looking for a way to meet him. lol

Seriously, I know what you mean about eating at Mickey D's, although their Asian salad wasn't too shabby last time I got conned into going there.

LOL!!! Now think about this - Ronald has red hair - you know how men are with red hair!!! LOL!!! (sorry fellas!)

Honestly - maybe Ronald would be a better cook than what they hire!!!

Come to think of it - maybe Ronald is the CEO - 'cause the higher ups seem to be a joke anyway!!!

Still wish I could have tasted the drizzle on that wrap! I wonder if I should chance it again................I know they won't just sell me a sample of drizzle.

Hmm ... ... ... maybe if you got another one and asked for extra drizzle??? That might work, or at least give you enough 'taste' to figure out what's in it.

Since they must have my pic hanging in all the Mc Donald's I will have to go in disguise - I'll have to wear a big floppy hat, dark glasses, a Ronald McDonald wig and bright red lipstick! LOL

KW,
If you dress up as described, you are definitely looking to attract Ronald McDonald. Just bribe him to sneak you a taste of the "secret" drizzling sauce. I'm sure he would for you.

Or just ask. Usually they are pretty good about giving you a sample. Or at least down here they are.
Pat

hmmmmmm - I never thought of that one Pat!!!

I have blonde hair and I don't wear red lipstick so I just thought I could change my appearance that way............maybe a Cher wig and a cowboy hat with cowboy boots (that is soooooooo not me!) and maybe I should talk Italian and pretend I don't understand English (like some of their help there - they don't understand much and if you ask for something they don't understand, they give you that blank stare!) or maybe I can hand them a note - with my luck they would say I was trying to hold them up - that won't work. Oh well - I'll figure something out! LOL

Red face Re: the continuing saga of McDonald's and KW......

Hey, I'm brand new here, I'm not sure i've got the whole saga here. I feel like I missed a party where i would fit right in( oh yes, I have my own little saga going on with McDon'ts ) what exactly started your saga? How long? you know, details, or maybe point me in the direction to read more of it.Our daughter is now trained to write down how many items have been ordered and count what's in the bag,we don't leave a parking spot at the window without the two numbers matching up. (That does NOT, however mean when we get home we have in the bags what we actually ordered ) Anyway as far as figuring out what that drizzle could be, maybe you could get a hold of one and "unwrap" the wrap. You may be able to spoon it up and get a better taste to work with. I would love to know the outcome if you try it. I would love to hear anymore of your story, McD's or otherwise.

Hi Margo - I have written about McDonald's in this thread - I think I was poisoned and another one - I did it myself - just for a brief background of my continuing saga.

McD and I go back a bit - and they are going down hill fast!

Hi K.W.,
It's me, margo again. I finally found the saga beginning, sounds like you are as frustrated as I am with them. You crack me up, this is a good thing. I'm stuck at home quite often, health problems beyond belief. However my daughter and her husband just moved back home because they're expecting a baby. I am SO happy . I found a lot of good recipes and much interesting information reading you, thankfully I still have more to read, you keep up the work and maybe when I'm caught up, we can compare notes on a few things.
Looking forward to continuing communications, God bless
