Ron to the rescue!!!! Thank you.
Yesterday was a very busy day here with not much time for anything and I wanted something fast, easy and good. Here are 2 more recipes from our sister site - SMR that we enjoyed!
Thank you Ron!
Barbecue Pork from Quick and Easy
4 pork chops, 3/4-inch thick
1 tsp vegetable oil
1/4 cup Italian dressing
1/4 cup barbeque sauce
1 Heat oil in large nonstick skillet; brown chops on one side over medium-high heat.
2 Turn chops and add remaining ingredients to pan, stirring to blend.
3 Cover and simmer for 5-8 minutes, until chops are tender.
Baked Macaroni & Cheese from Quick and Easy
1/2 lb elbow macaroni
3 Tbs butter
3 Tbs flour
1 Tbs powdered mustard
3 cups milk
1/2 cup finely-diced yellow onion
1 bay leaf
1/2 tsp paprika
1 large egg
12 oz sharp cheddar, shredded
1 tsp kosher salt
Freshly-ground black pepper, to taste
=== TOPPING ===
3 Tbs butter
1 cup bread crumbs
1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2 In a large pot of boiling, salted water cook the pasta to al dente.
3 While the pasta is cooking, in a separate pot, melt the butter. Whisk in the flour and mustard and keep it moving for about five minutes. Make sure it's free of lumps. Stir in the milk, onion, bay leaf, and paprika. Simmer for ten minutes and remove the bay leaf.
4 Temper in the egg. Stir in 3/4 of the cheese. Season with salt and pepper. Fold the macaroni into the mix and pour into a 2-quart casserole dish. Top with remaining cheese.
5 Melt the butter in a saute pan and toss the bread crumbs to coat. Top the macaroni with the bread crumbs. Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and rest for five minutes before serving.
6 Remember to save leftovers for fried Next Day Mac and Cheese 'Toast' (see recipe).
