last week's luncheon......
I belong to a recipe club and we meet and share recipes, ideas, etc. We've been doing this for over 30 years now.
Last week we had a nice selection of different dishes to sample.
One of the desserts was a homemade lemon pound cake baked in a bundt pan and sliced horizontally into 3 layers. It was filled with lemon pudding and dusted with confectioners' sugar.
Another brought a pink lemonade poundcake made from a lemon cake mix, lemon instant pudding, lemonade concentrate - glazed with lemonade concentrate and sugar.
We also enjoyed Chile Cheese Squares (posted in the Recipe Exchange), grilled rat-on-a-stick (skinless boneless chicken thighs marinated and threaded on skewers) with dipping sauces, a sausage and bean bake, sticky chicken wings, mini stuffed meatballs, popcorn shrimp and popcorn chicken and various salads and sides.
It's just a fun thing we enjoy doing, exchanging recipes and trying new things.
