chops and taters
This is so easy to do and very good - it's a great blend of sweet and hot. Using only 3 ingredients - this can be made very easily.
4 center cut pork chops - thick cut
6 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoons hot pepper sauce
1. Preheat grill to to medium-high. Combine honey and hot pepper sauce in small bowl. Season chops with salt and pepper to taste.
2. Grill chops, turning and brushing frequently with glaze, 8 to 15 minutes or until done (internal temp 155°F). Remove chops from grill and brush with remaining glaze.
The original recipe calls for grilling - but I like to prepare this in a skillet using a bit of olive oil and garlic. About 10 - 15 minutes before it is done, I brush with the sauce and heat through. I prefer them in a skillet because they seem juicier and the flavor seems much better.
I have also skillet fried diced pork with garlic and added the glaze, place in crockpot to stay warm and serve with toothpicks for a nice finger food for tailgating of a party.
Chops served with baked potatoes with butter and sour cream, steamed carrots and rolls.
