Default simple soup for a cold day

It's cold - more snow is coming (but what's new living here!) and a nice bowl of hot homemade soup warms the innards well!

Semi-chunked keilbasa, added chicken bouillon, parsley, pepper, chopped onion and celery, sliced carrots; simmer until the sausage is cooked; add diced potatoes and cabbage; cook until tender. At the end (last few minutes) add some frozen peas and heat through.

Serve with crusty Italian bread for soppin'!!!

Dessert: Banana splits MY way - sliced bananas (of course), orange sherbet, lemon sherbet, vanilla ice cream, topped with strawberries in syrup (slice berries and add sugar and wait). Top with whipped cream, chopped walnuts and a maraschino cherry.

Then drink lots of hot tea to warm up again!

LOL

Default Re: simple soup for a cold day

That soup sounds absolutely delicious. I wish I could get my husband to eat cabbage-- I just love the stuff.

We're having chili (I have an amazing recipe full of tasty surprise ingredients-- so good), cornbread (I might make a salad, but will probably be too lazy), and for dessert... popcorn and a movie.
