loaded salads

It's been so hot, humid and miserable the past couple days that I dread even turning on the stovetop to boil water for tea!

The mugginess has made it unbearable - and having hot flashes is no fun.

For cryin' out loud - I take a cold shower and I steam up the whole neighborhood! I swear you can see steam for miles!

so yesterday and today it's been loaded salads and hoagies for dinner - iceberg and romaine salads, red onion rings, tomatoes, cukes, carrot curls, radishes, assorted cheeses and deli meats, har boiled eggs, beets, pepper rings and pepperoncini.

Sure there is a lot of prep work involved - but heck - better than using the stove these days.

I'm so glad fall is coming - I miss all those wonderful comfort foods!
