My favorite snack mix
I just made another jar of snack mix. I keep this on the counter top in a fancy jar with a plastic scoop inside so that everyone can just grab a bowl, fill it up and enjoy!
All amounts of the ingredients are what you want in the mix. Just mix in a large bowl:
dried pineapple, dried mango, dried bananas, raisins, golden raisins, sesame stix, walnuts, macadamia nuts, honey roasted nuts, beer nuts, unsalted cashews, plain unsalted peanuts, almonds, dried cranberries and dried cherries. Sometimes I use pecans; also I have put pistachios, brazil nuts or hazelnuts in as well - I prefer the unsalted. I feel there is just enough salt with the beer nuts and honey roasted nuts.
Next to that is a smaller jar (also with a small scoop in it) with:
dried apples, dried pears, dried peaches, dried prunes, and dried apricots, - I keep these in a separate jar so that the nuts and sesame sticks don't "mush out" on me!
These mixes don't last very long in my house - and they are quite addicting!
