Turnip Apple Side Dish

1 turnip peeled and diced
1 apple cored and diced
arrange in baking dish
add a little bit of water to moisten (approx. 1/4 cup)
sprinkle with brown sugar and cover
bake in oven at 350F for about 1/2 hour - check for firmness - should be soft like baked potatoes
remove cover and brown on top
remove from oven and serve

This is a great side dish with a little different flavour. Our family likes it with pork!
