Default Almost A Sin Dessert

When I was much, much younger, this was called a girdle busting dessert. It was renamed by my dad who said it was almost a sin to eat anything this rich and decadent. Not for the calorie counters but once in a while, its just the thing. We usually had this around the holidays.

Almost A Sin Dessert

First layer: 1 stick butter, 1 cup chopped roasted pecans, 1 1/2 cups flour. Mix together and pat down in a 9 X 13 baking pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes. Let cool.

Second Layer: 1 cup powdered sugar, 1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese softened. Mix together and spread over completely cooled crust.

Third Layer: 3 small pkgs instant vanilla pudding, 4 1/2 cups milk, 1 tsp vanilla. Mix together and pour over second layer.

Fourth Layer: 3 small pkgs instant chocolate pudding, 4 1/2 cups milk, 1 tsp vanilla. Mix together and pour over third layer.

Frost with large carton whipped topping. Sprinkle shaved chocolate and chopped roasted pecans if desired.

Default Almost A Sin Dessert

This recipe is one of our family favorites. Although we don't make it very often, it is terrific. Also since it was posted, I have made it with sugar free pudding mixes, low fat cream cheese, Splenda ground into powdered sugar, and lite Cool Whip. It is still pretty good.

Default Died and gone to heaven

This is one of my favorite recipes to take to gatherings. Easy and always enjoyed by everyone. But I have always known it as "Died and Gone To Heaven."

Yes!! This is a wonderful experience! Have been making this for many
years (over 25) and we called it "Pudding Goodie"...I use all chocolate
puddings and then chocolate whipped topping for the "frosting"...for those
chocolate lovers! The "shortbread" type crust just makes it wonderful!
Love it!

Default Almost a Sin Dessert

There about as many variations of this recipe as there are the no bake oatmeal chocolate cookie recipe. No matter what you call it, its is terrific!!! (By the way, we called it Aunt Barb's Girdle Buster). And if you're old enough to know what a girdle is, you're almost as old as me LOL.

This is one our favorite desserts. Variation on crust. Use a small box of crushed Nilla wafers instead of flour. Everything else is the same.
