Default Spicy BBQ Chicken Wings

Here's something I made just the other day. The wings had that barbecue taste and the crispness of the deep-fried wings, with a little "zing" (heat), but made in the oven.

12 jumbo chicken wings
1 envelope Shake 'N' Bake BBQ Chicken Mix
1/2 envelope Shake 'N' Bake Cajun Coating Mix

Mix the two coating mixes together and coat wings. Bake in 400 F degree oven for one hour; turn wings over and bake for another 30 minutes.

I know the ingredients are not from scratch. My husband likes the cajun coating, not the BBQ one; my daughter likes the BBQ coating and not the cajun. So I figured that I would mix the two together. This way, there would be the bbq taste and a little of the spicy cajun taste. It worked well together. The cajun coating mix really helped to give the crispiness.

Hope you enjoy!

Just wondering why the wings take an hour and a half to cook on 400 degrees??

I know it sounds extreme LOL, but my daughter and I like our wings REALLY cooked and kind of hard. My husband, however, takes his wings out after 30-40 minutes. He's always complaining that I cook my meat too long!

You just cook the wings to your liking!
