Copycat Black Angus Garlic Cheese Bread

Garlic bread and melted cheeses — that really is the best of both worlds!  Try this recipe next time you make a nice steak or have pasta and sauce.
Garlic Cheese Bread
1 loaf French bread
1/2 cup butter
1 cup shredded jack cheese
1 cup shredded asiago cheese
1 cup mayonnaise
1 bunch green onions, chopped
2 cloves garlic, pureed

Split French bread loaf into halves horizontally. Mix butter, cheeses, mayonnaise, green onions and garlic in a bowl, blending well. Spread the cut side of bread with spread. Bake at 350 degrees F for 7 minutes, then place under broiler about 3 minutes longer. Cut into slices and serve.

    I’ve never heard of mayo on Garlic Bread before! Interesting…and the green onions so delicious! I can’t wait to try out this recipe for my family!

    This was pretty tasty, but I found that it was enough to easily coat two loaves of french bread. Using the entire spread on one loaf is extreme overkill.

    In San Diego the Fish Market on Harbor Drive has a cheesy garlic bread. It is absolutely to die for. This is a similar, but not identical recipe. Will have to experiment!!

    I’m a little confused. All the recipes I’ve seen online for this cheesy garlic bread have the same ingredients but on BA menu they say their blend if cheeses is Jack, cheddar, & parnesean. Why isn’t anyone including the cheddar?

    I use craft miracle whip instead of mayonnaise, it turned out pretty good. Thank You for this great recipe.
