Copycat Cracker Barrel Grilled Chicken Tenderloin

Here is another Cracker Barrel favorite.  This recipe is so simple, and the results are just too good!  When I’m in a jam I usually turn to this recipe because I usually already have all the ingredients available in my kitchen.

1 lb. Chicken Breast Tenders
1/2 C Italian Dressing (drain spices and discard spices)
1 tsp Fresh Lime Juice
1 1/2 tsp Honey

Mix dressing, lime juice and honey together. Pour over chicken tenders, making sure all tenders are covered, marinate for 1 hour.
Grill the chicken tenders to lightly golden in color but not dry.

I serve mine with mashed potatoes and some fresh vegetables.

Does anyone know the recipe for Cracker Barrel’s Italian Dressing?? I’m hooked but I haven’t been able to find it at all. Thanks

We asked our Cracker Barrel waitress what kind of Italian dressing they use on the grilled chicken, and she claimed it was Marzetti’s.

Thanks Barb. I really appreciate it. I haven’t had any luck anywhere else. You guys are the best!!!

  4. I asked about their tea – I absolutely love their iced tea – and there aren’t any Cracker Barrel’s near me anymore… 🙁

It’s Royal Cup Tea. You can buy it online – I order it by the case now…

Not sure what brand of dressing. It’s been awhile since I worked there. I just remember we would take a big bag of tenders and a big bag of the dressing. We would just pour the dressing over the tenders while they were in a large pan. They were left in the walk-in overnight to marinate.
