Buffalo Wild Wings Garlic Parmesan Sauce

Buffalo Wild Wings is a great place to watch the game and enjoy some fantastic wings with a selection of 16 signature sauces.  With today’s secret recipe (shown below), you can bring one of their award-winning sauces to your home kitchen.  Of course the classic buffalo flavor is always popular, but if you haven’t tried their garlic Parmesan sauce with Italian herbs, then you must.

The secret to this sauce roasting the garlic to bring out its strong flavors.  This sauce also makes a great dip for bread sticks and vegetables.  Once you sample it for yourself, you will get all kinds of ideas as to how to enjoy this flavorful sauce.

Buffalo Wild Wings Garlic Parmesan Sauce

2 Tablespoons olive oil
6 cloves garlic, peeled
1/2 Cup mayonnaise
1 Tablespoon corn syrup
2 Tablespoons parmesan cheese
1 Tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon thyme
1/4 teaspoon marjoram
1/4 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon basil
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a small baking dish, place the garlic and drizzle with the olive oil. Cover tightly with aluminum foil and bake 20-25 minutes, until garlic is tender and roasted.

Meanwhile, mix the remaining ingredients, whisk until smooth.

Once the garlic is roasted, let cool about 5 minutes. Crush into the sauce using a garlic press or by using the edge of a knife.

Mix well. Refrigerate a few hours or overnight.

Toss with your favorite wings.

To help kick off this Labor Day weekend, I have some new quick and easy dinner recipes from our forum.  Before I get to those, I’d like to share with you a secret recipe for a healthier version of the classic shrimp scampi.

Garlic Shrimp Scampi

3 tablespoons chicken broth, low fat
2 tablespoons dry white wine
1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 1/2 lbs jumbo shrimp, peeled, deveined
2 lemons, cut into wedges

In a large shallow dish, stir together the broth, wine, salt, oregano, pepper and garlic.

Add the shrimp and turn them to coat them well.  Cover with plastic wrap.  Marinate in the refrigerator for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.  Do not marinate longer than 2 hours or the shrimp will become tough.

Preheat the broiler.  Remove the shrimp from the dish, reserving the marinade.

Thread the shrimp onto skewers, leaving a small space between each.

Brush the shrimp with the reserved marinade.  Broil 4 inches from the heat for 2 minutes.  Turn the shrimp over, brush with the marinade and broil for 1-3 minutes more or until the shrimp are no longer pink.

Serve with lemon wedges.

Servings: 4

Copycat Black Angus Garlic Cheese Bread

Garlic bread and melted cheeses — that really is the best of both worlds!  Try this recipe next time you make a nice steak or have pasta and sauce.
Garlic Cheese Bread
1 loaf French bread
1/2 cup butter
1 cup shredded jack cheese
1 cup shredded asiago cheese
1 cup mayonnaise
1 bunch green onions, chopped
2 cloves garlic, pureed

Split French bread loaf into halves horizontally. Mix butter, cheeses, mayonnaise, green onions and garlic in a bowl, blending well. Spread the cut side of bread with spread. Bake at 350 degrees F for 7 minutes, then place under broiler about 3 minutes longer. Cut into slices and serve.
