Orange Cream Cheese Pie Filling

Servings: Enough for 1 pie
Ingredients Preparation

1 1/4 cups [310 g] sugar
6 ounces [170 g] cream cheese, at room temperature
Grated rind of 1 orange
1/2 cup [115 g] butter, at room temperature
1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] vanilla extract
1 teaspoon [5 mL] fresh orange juice

Sift icing sugar onto a sheet of parchment paper.
In the work bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat together cream cheese and sugar on low until combined.
Add grated orange rind, butter, vanilla and orange juice.
Beat on medium until creamy and smooth, for approximately 4 minutes.
