Re: Ichiban recipes
I don't know how much this will help -
Yum Yum Sauce
1-1/4 cup Hellmann's mayonnaise *
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon tomato paste
1 tablespoon melted butter
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon paprika
dash cayenne pepper
Using a fork or a whisk, blend all ingredients together thoroughly until well mixed and the sauce is smooth. Refrigerate overnight to allow flavors to blend. Bring to room temperature before serving.
The sauce will NOT taste right if you don't let it sit overnight. And please don't try to substitute ketchup for the tomato paste! The water is needed to bring this to the right consistency.Life is God's gift to you......what you do with your life is your gift to God.

Re: Ichiban recipes
Ichiban Salad
1 small head of cabbage, shredded
2 package ichiban/ramen noodles
1/2 cup slivered almonds, toasted
2 tbsp sesame seeds
1 can baby corn, drained
1 package ichiban/ramen soup mix, slightly crushed
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup rice vinegar
1 tbsp white sugar
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp teriyaki or fish sauce
In a large bowl, mix together the first five ingredients.
In a smaller bowl, blend the remaining ingredients to make the dressing.
Pour the dressing over the ingredients, tossing to coat.
Let the salad sit in the fridge for at least two hours before serving.
You can top with roasted chicken to make this more of a main course. Shrimp would also be a nice addition.Life is God's gift to you......what you do with your life is your gift to God.

Re: Ichiban recipes
Yum Yum Sauce is found in Japanese steakhouses - it is a shrimp sauce - Goes great with shrimp, steak, chicken, veggies, just about everything!
