Family White Cake

1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup corn oil
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
2/3 cup milk

Oil an 8-inch square pan and line bottom with waxed paper. Sift flour with baking powder and salt; set aside. Blend corn oil with sugar and vanilla. Beat in eggs one at a time until very light and fluffy. Mix in sifted dry ingredients one third at a time alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Bake in 350F oven for 35 minutes or until cake tests done.
